Practicing self-love is an incredibly important part of maintaining a healthy and happy lifestyle. Showing our physical bodies a little extra TLC and tending to our mental and energetic needs first helps us to stay present in our bodies, recharges our batteries, and empowers us to show up fully for the people and things in our lives that we value most.

Taking a small slice of time out of your day to practice self-love and self-care can be incredibly beneficial in improving your overall well-being.

Here are 3 quick and easy daily rituals that you can incorporate into your routine to help nurture and cultivate your own self-love:

1. Release stress and tension with a midday head and neck massage:

Stash a tin of Calm Balm at your desk or workstation for a 5 minute midday work break to breathe deep and check in with yourself. Pause your work, close your eyes, and relax your shoulders. Scoop out a pea-size amount of Calm Balm and rub it between your hands to warm the oils and release the aromatic scent. Take a few deep, full breaths, and begin to gently massage the facial muscles along your temples and around the ears. Work your way along the hairline and jawline, and around to the back of the neck lingering on any areas holding extra tension, or that feel especially good to massage.

2. Wind down for a restful night’s sleep with a moisturizing foot massage:

The most indulgent and easy thing we can do for our physical bodies is give extra care to our hardworking feet! This simple ritual signals to our nervous system that we are ready for deep rest, and it feels SO good. Just before bed, wash your feet with a warm washcloth and pat dry. Reach for a rich, luxurious oil or moisturizer - I love the Midnight Bloom Body Butter for this ritual. Massage a small amount of moisturizer into your feet, taking time to give extra care and love to the tender, sore, or tired parts of your feet. Tend to your arches and ankles, working gently into the lower calf. When you slide into the sheets your feet will feel rested, restored, and so very soft.

3. Wake up your skin with a lymphatic facial massage:

Take 5 minutes in your morning routine to relax your facial muscles, stimulate healthy blood flow, and nourish your skin. After cleansing your face and hands, apply a few drops of Wildflower Facial Oil to your fingertips and gently apply over the skin of your face and neck to lubricate and nourish the skin. Working in upward and outward circular motions with light pressure, gently massage your way from the midline of the face out toward the sides. Try smoothing motions from the center of the eyebrows out toward the temples and hairline, or from the bridge of the nose over the cheekbones, smoothing your way toward the hairline and eventually down the jawline and neck. Take your time, work gently, and linger where it feels good.

These daily rituals are simple, but they can make a huge difference in cultivating your own sense of self-love, care, and gratitude for your body and mind. Give yourself permission to take the time to practice self-care and self-love, and be amazed at the difference it can make in your life.
